Okay, so a few years I learned a very important lesson...KISS. It has served me well over the year. Here is a typical example of what I mean:

Doesn't matter what country you are from, doesn't matter what policies your company has the fact remains that the input for payroll processing remains the same no matter what.

Employee number, regular hours, time and a half hours, double hours, loss hours, and in some cases triple hours. As long as you can keep the it simple around these fields...everything else will fall in place.

So what are the other simple rules that I have followed of the years:

1. Smart fly gets stuck in cow's ass.
2. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
3. Everyone believes in something, I believe I'll have another drink.
4. Never forget the golden rule...he who has the gold, makes the rules.
5. The shortest distance between two points is a straight line.
6. If its not broken, don't fix it...but if its not working, smash it...if it breaks it needed replacing anyways.
7. You learn absolutely nothing if you believe you are right all the time.
8. In order to succeed, you need to first fail...fail again, but never give up trying to succeed.
